The Boy Scouts of America builds character, trains in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and helps develop personal fitness. St. Mark’s is proud to have one of the first scout troops in Illinois.
Cubs Scouts Pack 678
For boys, Grades 1-5. Meets regularly from September through May on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Join the Cub Scouts to develop friendships and to participate in outdoor activities, such as camping, campfires, and hayrides. Other fun activities include hockey and baseball outings, the pinewood derby and the annual honors banquet. Interested? Contact John Clemens.
Boy Scout Troop 55
For boys, ages 11-18. Meets year-round on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. The Boy Scouts continue developing their skills and friendships while having a great time. Some activities include camping, campfires, outdoor skills training, and the adopt-a-highway program. Interested? Contact Ken Norton.
Girl Scouts/Brownies
The group began at Andrew Cooke Magnet school in Waukegan, IL and were given permission to use the church space by the council. They currently have one active troop: 4th grade Juniors.
